it sucks that the same big corporation owns the only newspaper and the only news radio station in town. we wonder why we have no clue about what our public officials are up to.

i have to say i was one of those who believed all the stuff I read in the paper. Why because I believed all politcians were crooks. I have to say after seeing this I owe you an appologie and wish you the best.Tale out those bastards in poplar Bluff. We as a comunity have had enough it's time we stood together and change the way things are done.
Scott you MUST keep getting the word out to us because, as you know, this will never get in the local news. Maybe... maybe KFVS, since they only like to report negatives about Poplar Bluff.

I say let's put semo.net to the test and put several links to Scott's website on the message board. The truth needs to be heard and lord knows the newspaper won't be the one to deliver.

First of all, lets remember that there are many many good people at First Missouri State Bank, dont let one corrupt lawyer shape your view of the entire institution.

Lastly in Mr. Edmundson's defense Don may have been lying when he swore that Japser Edmundson broke federal privacy laws and several FDIC regulations by leaking depositor information to the press.
Also Mr. Edmundson flatly denied doing any such thing in person to my attorney Dan Moore. Obviously someone is lying.

There's not enough room on the Internet to refute all the crap that has been written or not written in DAR all these years. It's a rag not a newspaper -- pretty much borderline tabloid, right up there with Star and N. Inquirer -- only on a local level.

The newspaper is a dying media! As more of the demographic learns to use and accept the internet as a source for news the DAR will go the way of the telegram!
Because your name was on the bank account, you might have had the legal ability to take the money that you did. That may eventually get you off the guilty charge that you've been given. However, you still took the money from the account which was a highly immoral act. You should be held accountable for that, which should keep you out of the political world...period.
I do not support you nor do I appreciate that your blog revolves around your situation in local politics alone. We all know of the corruption that exists in PB. Why don't you discuss other situations that have occured in town that involve your cronies that so far have been left out of the blog.
All that being said, I think that your work on the road was a huge success. On that alone, I thank you and say good job.
In small towns like PB, the newspaper will never die as the primary source of media, because grandma and grandpa will always want it. Whatever the case, DAR is ridiculously substandard -- in print and online. A few of the reporters, (and I bet they know who they are) need to go back to school and learn how to REALLY report the news and spare us the stories that ramble on column after column for 3,000 words when about 150 could sum it up. Maybe DS should put some of his big bucks behind reeducating his staff.

I know the "stealing" charge was thrown out but you were convicted on "forgery"........did you sign Bobby Brown's names to the checks or did he or your ex? Also....was there indeed a voicemail left by YOU that could have been taken as a confession and you trying to cover up what you did?????? I know this will never make the "posts" but I would love to know these little details!
i heard that voicemail as well, and of all of the things that point to scott's mistakes that voicemail was certainly not one of them.
my understading is that the person who recieved that voicemail is a very coniving person. in fact the night before her testimony she recieved a marriage proposal, her fifth, from an attorney at......you guessed it Edmundson and son.

The corruption and irony never ends with DAR. The latest on the grapevine I subscribe to is that certain no-talent reporters there are promising their co-workers they can just make a call over to the prosecutor's office and get pending charges dropped for them, because of her "connections." It may or may not be true, but I would literally bet the farm it is.
Obviously ethics don't exist at DAR. Are journalists (i use that term loosely, especially in this person's case) supposed to call in "favors" from sources? The same sources this person refers to time and time again in her so-called crime stories?

Where do you suggest we start cleaning up our town first? At the newspaper, law offices, banks, courthouse, city hall or the police department and highway patrol? Every one of these places in our town are ran by or employ liars, cheaters, manipulators, and thief’s, so who should be taken out first? This is a small town and therefore will always be this way, but that’s where we should stand behind some of those who can get things done such as oh say a highway built. Faughn wasn't perfect but why don't some of the other’s commenting on here air out their dirty laundry for every blogger to read before they jump down his throat.
